First Stop – Barcelona
Our main goal while in Barcelona was to see the Formula 1 race. It was awesome! Our seats were right in front of the finish and the podium.
We also went to the Sagrada Famillia. Got to see some sculptures that were very cool. We listened to the audiobook. Then we walked around and got ice cream. Then we had dinner at Tapas. It was very delicious and filling. We had a chocolate cake that was very rich and very good. We also did the Teleferic de Montjuic.
Next Stop – Madrid
We took the high speed train to Madrid. We went to El Retiro park and walked around then we went to Museo De Prado to see art about historical stories. Then we did some shopping we walked around the town. We took the city bus to all around town and heard more historical parts of the city. For dinner I had experienced some very good foods I have tried Paella and squid. Very good as well. We walked and got coffee and tea and on the side we had a desert. We had brownies.
We also went to a Flamenco show!
Next Stop – Sarria
Our final adventure was to hike the Camino de Santiago. We took the train from Madrid to Sarria. Over there we relaxed and had dinner and to start our hike the next day. We went to little towns to stay. And eat in town also. Very good places with very good delicious foods and restaurants. They are very nice and friendly people. We started our hike in Sarria and 75 miles and 6 days later, we ended up in Santiago de Compostela. We stayed there and did some hiking around on the Camino De Compostela and the town was very good. I made it through the whole thing!!!.
The hike overall was very good but difficult. It is not flat at all but it is very hilly. I liked the whole experience. Remember you need Euros in Spain. If you want to try to do it, you should. I feel like I had a big accomplishment.
